A question about Word - How to insert reference numbers at end of sentence?

I have a document that will be using the numbering system for references. At the end of the sentence that requires a reference, how do you enter a number so it appears little and above the end of the sentence. The person who wrote the document has just used normal sized font numbers and I need to change it to a little number to be in line with normal referencing systems used.

I think you want to know how to write superscripts in word.

U can use below shortcuts

Superscript: Press CTRL+SHIFT+= (three buttons: CTRL, SHIFT, =)

Subscript: Press CTRL+= (two buttons: CTRL, =)

u can select whatever the text/numbers u want as superscript/subscript and use the above shortcuts

There are some options available in Word toolbar as well for this (in Font section)

u can refer to

I hope this helps...A question about Word - How to insert reference numbers at end of sentence?
You might also want to look at the Referencing options in the Insert menu (Footnotes, Endnotes, etc)
