My computer font has changed to windings after a power failure, how can I restore it as system restore doesn't

One thing to try:

Open Internet Explorer

click on tools at the top of the page

choose internet options

on the general page click on fonts (on the bottom of the page)

change it to:

Language Script...Latin Based

Web Page Font...Arial

Plain Text Font...Courier New

(these are my settings)

Click OK to have it take your changes

Click OK again to close the internet options page

If this did not change your fonts back to something normal then hopefully someone smarter than I will come along soon.

okay main problem here is there is not enough description to this question. where does wingdings appear? Word? IE? Windows itself? You gotta be more descriptive with your issue. this is the main problem ive had with customers in Dell tech support. :(
